A Great Delivery from 20/20 ePOD
Skillweb's 20/20 ePOD is a cost-effective mobile computing application that is ideal for Proof of Delivery. It is deployed in the client's transport and distribution operations. The application was created using Microsoft's VB.net, running on Windows CE / Pocket PC. It offers a choice of GPRS network communications, and can be provided as a licenced solution or a managed service.
Features
The unit downloads daily activities and tasks to the individual drivers or operators. The driver reports activities and (when applicable) exceptions, and collects signatures at the point of delivery. An automatic report is generated, which indicates success or exception.
The system includes the option of uploading signatures or holding them in the system for subsequent batch update. Additional reporting facilities (such as safety checks and end of day reports) are also available.

The new solution is a significantly more cost-effective approach than having to collect and scan paper signatures, and is faster at closing delivery tasks and triggering invoicing.
It provides automatic notification to customers, and eliminates problems such as excessive paperwork, missing signatures, and lost deliveries. The new product works through a simple electronic signature retrieval process.
20/20 ePOD reduces the need for call centre activities. It collects management information on the efficiency of delivery operations, and uses delivery data and exceptional reporting to produce trends. The customer can select the hardware platform of their choice.
